Basic Life Support Provider - $65
The AHA’s BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC). The AHA’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.
Heartsaver First-Aid/CPR/AED - $75
This course is for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. Upon successful course completion, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years.
Heartsaver CPR/AED - $65
This course is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches adult and child CPR and AED use, infant CPR, and how to relieve choking in adults, children, and infants.
Heartsaver Pediatric First-Aid/CPR/AED - $65
This course teaches students information needed to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives.
Basic Life Support Skills Check - $40
This class is for healthcare professionals or anyone involved in an allied health profession. This class is for anyone who has completed the online heartcode portion. This is recommended only for individuals who have taken a CPR class and are renewing their BLS certification. The skills check will cover the Adult CPR/AED and Infant CPR skills. For an additional fee, students will need to purchase and complete the online portion at the link below prior to testing out their skills. This online portion is required prior to scheduling a skills test session.
Heartsaver Skills Check - $60
This class is for non-healthcare professionals and is for anyone who has completed the online heartcode portion. This is recommended only for individuals who have taken a CPR class and are renewing their Heartsaver certification. CPR Instructor Course - $200
The American Heart Association is always seeking professionals to conduct training in first aid, CPR, AED, and advanced cardiovascular care. If you are passionate about saving lives, motivated to facilitate learning, feel comfortable in group settings, and find it easy to make complex concepts understandable to others, you may be a perfect candidate.
Have current AHA provider status in the discipline for that Instructor Course and be proficient in all the skills of that discipline. Disciplines include BLS and Heartsaver.
Successfully complete the Instructor Essentials Course for the discipline for which you are becoming an Instructor, including both the online portion and the classroom/hands-on session.
Successfully be monitored teaching within 6 months of completing the hands-on session of their Instructor Essentials Course (TC Coordinators may require additional monitoring, if needed).
Once you become an Instructor, you will have access to the most current emergency cardiovascular care science, course updates, training resources and tools through the online AHA Instructor Network. You will also be able to post class dates and times to reach more students through our public website.
ACLS Provider Course - $140
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) builds on the foundation of Basic Life Support (BLS), emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. The hands-on instruction and simulated cases in this advanced course are designed to help enhance their skills in the recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute arrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes.
PALS Provider Course - $140
The AHA’s PALS Course has been updated to reflect new science in the 2020 AHA Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC. This classroom, Instructor-led course uses a series of videos and simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics. The goal of the PALS Course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes. This is the International English (IVE) version of the PALS Course. IVE training materials have been updated to include metric units of measure and other references that do not apply to students in the US and Canada.
